Repudiate was created in march 2001 by three persons The will to create a innovating style of death metal to the influences as different as varied has gathered at the beginning of 2001; Nicolas (guitar) and Mitch-Hell (voice). After having composed and having recorded a piece named "Of the hatred..." which has been given up, they were put in the search of musicians in order to form what was going to become Repudiate. David thus joined the formation at the post of rhythmic guitarist in March 2001. Resulting from the group Cerber, a formation which oscillated between death and black metal in which he sung and played guitar and keyboards, PO, a drummer with undeniable technical qualities and the speed of blast so impressive that it was worth to him the name of "blasting machine", joined the ranks of the group in May 2001.For 3 months, the group composes its first pieces of which Repudiated present on the demo "Neurasthenia".

It is in August 2001 that Arnaud, becomes the bass player within the group. After having taken part in several formations as a guitarist and a drummer such as Cerber, group in which it became acquainted with PO, and Sentence, Arnaud wanted to explore the possibilities of another instrument in addition to those which he masters already and thus risked has to take the bass guitar in Repudiate. The line up is final at the end of August 2001 and the group starts to compose at a unbridled rate.The pieces Oceans of Storms, Your Fate, Death by Brutality, Asa Foetida are born in 4 months. The group decides to record its first demo own-produced "neurasthenia" in December 2001.It is released on March 2001 and is sent to many fanzines, magazines, radios. The returns are really good and instigate the groupe.Repudiate joined "La mort-sure" and is likely to take part in Split CD produced by skull fucked prod which is out in October 2002. In parallel the group appears on a grind compilation "el grinding mafiozo". The musical orientation of the band changes. The songs are increasingly brutal and technical and the melody aspect is decreased.The band makes every effort to find its sound and its own identity. The band continues to compose for the release of their first album in 2003, and seeks tour dates actively in order to be better made known.
